Fall has arrived with determination this year.

Frosty temperatures greeted most of Minnesota Monday morning. Temperatures fell into the 30s around most of Minnesota with lows in the 20s in northeast Minnesota.

Here are some select low temperatures from Monday morning.

  • MSP Airport: 40 degrees

  • Lakeville: 37 degrees

  • Duluth: 33 degrees

  • Brainerd: 31 degrees

  • International Falls: 31 degrees

  • Cook, Aitkin: 27 degrees

  • Cotton: 26 degrees

  • Celina: 25 degrees

Expect another frosty morning Tuesday

Lows Tuesday morning will dip into frosty and freezing territory once again. The inner core of the Twin Cities will likely hover above freezing.

Highs this week will remain cool, mostly in the 50s.

A strong low-pressure system will bring soaking rainfall to southern Minnesota Thursday into Saturday. The storm track is still a bit in question, but this morning’s GFS and other models keep the storm far enough north to include the Twin Cities area in the significant rainfall zone.
